By 2009, my colleagues chose me to serve as mayor, making me the youngest openly gay Asian American mayor in the nation. At 26, I had a lot to learn, but I also had a lot to give:

 

Jason, When I was first elected to the Campbell City Council in 2006, I was just a young guy with a lot of passion and big ideas. Me while running for mayor, age 26 By 2009, my colleagues chose me to serve as mayor, making me the youngest openly gay Asian American mayor in the nation. At 26, I had a lot to learn, but I also had a lot to give:   🏢 We worked together to support local businesses, creating an environment where entrepreneurs could thrive, and our local economy could grow 🌱 I championed green policies, pushing for energy-efficient practices and sustainable development to make our city a cleaner, greener place to live 👮‍♂️ I made public safety a top priority and collaborated with law enforcement to enhance community policing and ensure that Campbell remained a safe haven for all These experiences taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, accountability, and the importance of standing up for what you believe in. Now, I'm ready to bring that same spirit of service and dedication to Congress.
