Hi Jason, it's Elyse, Scott's wife. In a moment I'm going to talk more about Scott's record, but he has a big fundraising deadline on Thursday for the campaign's filing with the New York City Campaign Finance Board. The campaign's fundraising numbers will be published for the first time this year, and all eyes will be on where our numbers stack up. It's a big moment for his campaign, so I'm urgently asking: Will you chip in $25 today to help reach our $25,000 goal before Thursday's deadline? One of the many things I admire about Scott is his perseverance. He's not the kind of person to give up, especially in tough situations. I was by his side in 2013, when he ran for New York City Comptroller against former Governor Eliot Spitzer. Polls had Spitzer up big, but Scott had a vision. He didn't back down or drop out. And on election night when the results came in, the voters chose Scott. If you've ever had a conversation with Scott, you can tell just how much he cares about this city. His campaign is authentic to who he is. During an era where New York's city government has been dominated by corruption, transparency is refreshing to say the least. I've never doubted my husband, and I know he is the most capable and qualified candidate to be our next mayor. But he's running in a crowded, competitive race, and to help him stand out among his opponents, we need to make sure we have the resources to reach voters all across the city. Thursday's deadline is important. We need to highlight our strong grassroots team that's going to help us win. Please chip in $25 today to help Scott reach his $25,000 goal. Let's elect him to City Hall! With gratitude, Elyse | | | | |
