Jason, Today, I want to talk to you about the woman who is the driving force behind who I am today — my mom.
She taught me what it means to give back, to do the right thing even when no one is looking, and to always leave your community better than you found it. Those lessons shaped who I am and are why I serve. When my mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's, my wife, Ariel, and I became her primary caregivers and saw up close how badly Georgia is failing seniors and families like mine. My mom fell into the Medicaid gap — making too much to qualify but not enough to afford coverage. That meant delayed diagnoses, inconsistent doctor visits, and costly bills no family should ever face. And she's not alone. More than 400,000 Georgians are trapped in this same broken system, left behind because Republicans refuse to expand Medicaid. This is not just about numbers. It's about Georgia families forced into debt. It's about seniors denied the care they need. And it's about a Republican-led state government that puts politics over people, again and again. As governor, I'll fight to expand Medicaid, invest in senior care, and make sure families don't have to face what mine did. Because no Georgian should be forced to wait until they've lost everything to get help. Y'all, this fight is personal for me — Georgia can't survive four more years of Republicans blocking care while families suffer. Will you chip in $5 now to help me fight for Medicaid expansion, protect our seniors, and build a healthier Georgia for every family?
Thank you for letting me share my mom's story with you, and for standing with me in this fight. – Jason
