If the news out of Washington has left you worried or concerned at any point this year, I don't blame you.
But throughout the year, anytime someone has tried to screw over Upstate New Yorkers, I've always fought back.
When Donald Trump and Elon Musk made headlines for their overreach, I introduced a bill to give the Courts the tools they need to enforce their orders when Trump tries to ignore them, backed bills that called for full transparency into what DOGE is doing, and supported the ETHICS Act to ban congressional stock trading.
When Republicans knowingly voted for a bill that will kick 1.5 million New Yorkers off their healthcare, cut critical funding for rural hospitals, and take food off the tables of hardworking families, I called them out for it on the House floor.
While utility companies have been jacking up rates and raking in record profits at our expense, I've stood up to them. I launched an investigation into how they're setting prices, spoke out against NYSEG's rate hikes, and just introduced a bill to ban bonuses for utility CEOs who are price-gouging us.
If there's one thing we know how to do in Upstate New York, it's roll up our sleeves and get to work, so let's do it. If you're with me, I hope you'll chip in $5 or whatever you can today to support our grassroots team ahead of our final FEC filing deadline of the year. |
