| Jason, Today is my mom's birthday, and I wanted to take a moment to celebrate her and share how her life of service inspired me. My mom grew up in a working-class family where showing up and pitching in were expected. As a teacher and small business owner, she saw firsthand how policy decisions impact everyday life. She first stepped up to serve our hometown on the zoning board. Madbury is a small town, so small that we only have one traffic light, and you may be wondering why she felt the need to step up for this job. Her decision to serve on the Madbury Zoning Board was driven by the threat of zoning changes that sought to eliminate the manufactured home community on our street. This decision was going to displace our neighbors, eliminate affordable housing, and make it harder for people to call Madbury home. From the Madbury Zoning Board to the U.S. Senate, my mom taught me that leadership means listening to your community and service over self. She taught me that public service is not about credit or recognition, but about making things better. I carry these lessons with me every single day on the campaign trail. Please join me in helping surprise her with a birthday card from all of you! I know how much it would mean to her to see how her leadership and service are appreciated both in New Hampshire and across the country. Will you sign my mom's birthday card? |
| Happy Birthday, Mom! Thank you for showing me what it means to live a life of service to others. With love and gratitude, Stefany |
