| Jason, Today is a powerful reminder that we must not lose hope and we must celebrate when we are victorious in this fight for justice. I am proud to announce that the case against Narciso Barranco, the father of the three U.S. Citizen Marines, who was violently detained by ICE, has been dismissed. Narciso is free from the threat of deportation (for now) because we refused to back down and sought every remedy and defense on his behalf. And we won over the objection of ICE trial attorneys. I've spent my career holding the government accountable and achieving seemingly impossible outcomes for my clients and community. This case demonstrates that when we push back and fight to protect our Constitutional rights, justice is possible. But now is the time to take this fight from the courtroom to the House Chamber of Congress. ICE continues to terrorize our communities, and our Constitutional rights are still under attack. The bigger problem is that too many politicians stay silent, or worse, they condone the unlawful behavior and blame the victim or the deceased. This is why I'm running for Congress. This is why I need your support. We need leaders who will fight every day to rein in abuses of power, protect families, and make sure the law works for people, not against them. Let's melt ICE together. Will you contribute $25 or whatever you can afford to my campaign right now to elect a proven leader who knows how to win for the people? |
