| Below is an important campaign update from Lisa Ramirez as we build toward the election this year. If you're short on time, we hope you'll consider contributing today to help keep our momentum strong. |
To: Jason From: Lisa Ramirez Re: CA-40 Campaign Update Date: January 28, 2026 Jason, We're three days away from the end of the month, and I wanted to share a quick update on where this race stands and why the work we're doing right now matters so much. 1. CA-40 is officially in play. With the new district lines, we have two GOP incumbents running against each other, making this race one of Democrats' best opportunities to flip a House seat in California. Republicans know it, and they're already preparing to spend heavily to hold onto power. 2. Our momentum is growing. I'm honored to share our most recent endorsements: Congresswoman Linda Sánchez, Laguna Woods Mayor Pro Tem Pearl Lee, Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua, and four retired Orange County Justices: Hon. Frederick Aguirre (Ret.), Hon. Francisco Firmat (Ret.) Hon. Kathleen O'Leary (ret.), Hon. Mary Fingal Schulte (Ret.). Their support reflects what we're seeing on the ground: a broad, growing coalition ready for change in CA-40. 3. We're building a true grassroots operation. Every week, we're reaching new voters, expanding our volunteer base, and making sure families across the district know they have a candidate who will fight for them on the issues that matter most. 4. The contrast couldn't be clearer. Career politicians like Young Kim and Ken Calvert have chosen party leaders and special interests over working families. I'm running to put the power back in the hands of the people. In a race this competitive, early organizing and steady fundraising make all the difference. If you're able, a contribution of $10 or anything you can today will help us stay on track and keep building toward victory this November. Will you chip in today? |
| Thank you for being part of this movement. Warmly, Lisa Ramirez |
