It's Don here. Before we fully head into April, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the belief you showed in this campaign over the first three months of the year. Because of this team, we had our strongest fundraising quarter yet.
I'll be honest with you, asking for money is one of my least favorite parts of this project. It was never a dream of mine to even run for Congress. But after seeing the ongoing chaos in Washington, I decided to run because too many in Congress are unwilling to do the right thing and stand up for us back home.
Since we launched this campaign almost eight months ago, I've met with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, and listened to what matters most to them. A recent poll shows that people are less likely to vote for Derek Schmidt after learning about our campaign and what I stand for.
So, whether you've donated, read one of our emails, interacted online, or met with me at an event, I'd like to thank you for believing in our campaign. What we're doing is working, and people agree that it's time to fix the chaos in Washington.
