When Amy started The American SOS Project to help defeat Donald Trump's hand-picked secretary of state candidates (people who have pledged to deliver him a second term in 2024 at any cost), there was no full-time staff, no dedicated money in the bank, and no roadmap to victory. Now, thanks to you (seriously: you, reading this email!), this organization is making serious investments in battleground state voter outreach. If we're able to pull this thing off and keep Trump's conspiracy theorists out of office, it will be because of the resources this team built and the work we've all put in.

Subject: An honest email about what we need to do before the midterms
Jason — you know that I've made a point of being completely transparent with this team about where our midterm budget stands, and today that means I've got a tough update.
As of about an hour ago, we are 49% to our October budget goal.
That's not where we need to be.
And Jason, I want to be clear, these numbers aren't pulled out of thin air. They're built on very real commitments and expenses to fund the critical voter outreach program that this organization has planned for the final days before the election. That brings me to the tough part: If we can't get back on track for our October grassroots fundraising, we're going to have to look at cutting back.
I don't want to do that. And frankly, for the sake of democracy as we know it, we can't afford to.
We've done the math, and to get where we need to go, we've got to raise at least $40,500 in the next 48 hours before the final FEC fundraising deadline of the election.
I know you've got a lot on your plate, but I have to ask: Can you chip in right now?
Your inbox, if it's like mine, is a mess these days. Everyone is asking for money, and some of them are for causes I've never even heard of. God only knows how they got my contact information.
That's not how I do business. I'm never going to mislead you about what we need to raise or why we need to raise it.
With the support of this team, we can keep our program running and communicate directly with key voters in Arizona and Nevada to make sure they know what's at stake in this election and when and how to go cast their ballots. Without it, we simply may not be able to successfully chip away at Jim Marchant and Mark Finchem's leads.
If Marchant and Finchem win three weeks from tomorrow, the integrity of the 2024 presidential election will immediately be in jeopardy — they've said as much loud and clear for every one of us to hear.
Please don't stand by and let that happen. Donate any amount right now towards the $40,500 we need to raise, and fight back against the disease of Trumpism that's infecting our country.
