Conservatives nationwide are pushing dangerous bills that would limit the rights of transgender Americans, particularly kids. In order to fight back, Senator Ed Markey and Rep. Pramila Jaypal have introduced the Transgender Bill of Rights in Congress. This bill would stand up to conservatives' relentless attacks against transgender and nonbinary Americans. After introducing the bill, Senator Markey said: "Lives are at stake. The health, safety and freedom of trans people are at stake. Congress must take a stand in the face of dangerous, transphobic attacks waged by far-right state legislatures and once again reaffirm our nation's bedrock commitment to equality and justice for all."
