That's because our COVID relief bill rejects trickle-down economics and puts the people first. Instead of tax cuts for big corporations, bailout money for Wall Street, or giveaways for wealthy donors, the American Rescue Plan delivers direct economic relief to working- and middle-class Americans. 0% of the stimulus checks and tax credits goes to the top 1%. Zero percent to the top 1%. Think about that for a moment. Take a look at the below chart comparing President Biden's American Rescue Plan with the Trump Tax Cut: The Trump Tax Cuts sent help to the rich and well connected. The American Rescue Plan sends help to ordinary people. Jason, that's right and just and equitable and decent and compassionate. It's also smarter and more effective economic policy! And with this 50-50 Senate, it wouldn't have happened if we hadn't won in Georgia. Period! By sending big help to ordinary people, we are changing the game after so many years of business-as-usual and Washington corruption. That's what I came here to do. Because Jason, I work for ordinary people like you -- not lobbyists and corporate PACs. In fact, my Senate campaign didn't take a DIME from federal lobbyists and corporate PACs -- and I'm still refusing their money now that I'm in office. So I'm asking for your continued support.
