Still wrapping my head around this

Jason —   It's still tough to wrap my head around the reality that we are in the middle of a fight to save democracy itself.    I've witnessed struggles for human rights and freedom in other parts of the globe. I didn't think I'd ever see the day when one of two major political parties in America would get so friendly with authoritarianism and turn their backs on the very principles of democracy. But top Republicans have shown us for the last two years that they're so fixated on power that they're willing to overthrow our entire system to get it.    Every single one of us who loves this country and cares about the ideas that make us great has a decision to make: What am I willing to do to fight back? Tonight is our first FEC deadline of the 2024 cycle. I'm asking you to chip in right now not just because we need resources to defeat the other side — but because each donation means one more American is committed to this mission.   I've talked to a lot of people who have felt overwhelmed by the news and what's at stake. I get it. It's a lot. But this is not a moment to panic. Or despair. Or let your mind drift to a dystopian future under another MAGA regime.
