Ballot initiatives in Florida have been utilized by people-powered grassroots movements as a way to put power back in the hands of voters and make meaningful progress on critical issues that impact our state.
However, special interest groups have attempted to make it harder for Floridians to use ballot initiatives and make their voice heard – including a successful push to raise the threshold to approve a ballot initiative from 50% to 60%.
With 76% of Floridians across the political spectrum supporting Medicaid expansion, we have a clear path forward to bring much-needed relief for millions of Floridians unable to access the quality, affordable care they deserve. But first, we must secure 1 MILLION signatures from registered voters across the state to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot!
