IAVA's CEO is a female Iraq veteran, and I've seen how committed she is to having the backs of all of our veterans.  Veterans for all Voters: This nonpartisan, nonprofit organization was started by a classmate of mine from the U.S. Naval Academy. They work on reforming our democracy for the long term — enacting structural changes at the state level like open primaries and final-five voting. They have been racking up victories in all corners of the country, and they could use your support to continue their work at a time when the cause of safeguarding our democracy couldn't be more important.  Secure Families Initiative: This is an amazing group of military families who fight for equity by making sure our military members and their families have the right to vote and that their voice is heard in foreign policy decisions of the day. I expect this group to play a critical role in the years ahead, on the frontlines building the power of diverse military families as an active and influential constituency, advocating for the civil rights of military families of color, and defending women in the military and LGBT Americans serving our country in uniform. I know there are so many worthwhile ways to give back this time of year.
