Jason, Though Alaska is often seen as a solidly Republican state, Alaska Democrats continue to turn out and show the Lower 48 that you can't write us off! We may not have gotten the results we hoped for nationally, but we made huge Democratic gains in races down the ballot. We flipped 3 State House seats, passed a ballot measure to increase the state minimum wage, and protected our ranked choice and open primary voting systems. Relative to the rest of the country, Alaska actually trended left! Progress is not a linear path, and inevitably, we will run into setbacks. Our movement is bigger than one election. We must continue organizing year-round and investing in our communities so we can defend our Alaska way of life from out-of-touch extremists. I won't lie to you, Jason – there will be tough fights ahead, but the Alaska Democrats are no strangers to tough fights! It will take our entire network of grassroots supporters working together to build on this incredible Democratic momentum in Alaska so we can remain competitive heading into 2026.
