RE: FL Medicaid Expansion Strategy Memo

Under Florida law, the Medicaid expansion ballot initiative will require signatures from 1 million voters in at least half of Florida's 28 congressional districts to be put on the ballot.
The signature verification deadline is February 1st, 2026!
We have just over one year to hit our signature collection target and put Medicaid expansion on the ballot. That's why we're working with our partners across the state to:
- Recruit local volunteers to collect petition signatures in their communities.
- Host training sessions about best practices when collecting petition signatures.
- Build up a robust statewide Petition Circulation and Collection Program.
- Expand our grassroots network and build up support for Medicaid expansion.
Every signature we collect brings us one step closer to expanding access to care to 1.4 million of our friends, families, and neighbors here in Florida!
