| Jason, Loving this city shouldn't be this hard. New York is the greatest city in the world. But in recent years, City Hall has fallen short: Crime is up, childcare is broken, paychecks aren't going the distance, and the lack of affordable housing is forcing New Yorkers to flee. We can restore the promise of New York City and it all starts with this election. That's why, this morning, I officially launched my campaign to be your next mayor with an open letter to New Yorkers. If you want to see us restore the promise of New York City, then please help power this campaign as a campaign launch donor with an 8x match TODAY, my first day as an announced candidate for mayor. New York City used to be a place where you can have a home you can afford, a great education for your children, safe streets, well-maintained public spaces, and reliable public transit. But under the current administration, this promise isn't being fulfilled for New Yorkers. It's time to elect a leader who will reform City Hall and get New York City working for its people once again. Because a New York state of mind and peace of mind should be one and the same. New York has fixed big problems before; together, we can fix them again. I've devoted over three decades to reforming New York City's systems to better serve its people. As an Assemblymember, Manhattan Borough President, and Comptroller, I've seen up close what works and what doesn't, and I know what it takes to get things done. This isn't a time for on-the-job training, empty promises, or vanity projects. This is a time for doing the tough, methodical, often unglamorous job of making the city function for all New Yorkers. That is a job I can do. If you're ready to join me in building a better future for our city, chip in as a Launch Donor right now. See you in the neighborhood and talk again soon, Scott |
