Mayor Eric Adams has been under indictment from the DOJ for months. Last night, Trump's Justice Department ordered charges dropped, stating that the case impeded Adams's ability to "devote full attention and resources" to doing Trump's bidding from the NYC Mayor's office. Let me be clear, Jason. This is good news for only two people: Eric Adams and Donald Trump. While the mayor has spent months currying favor with Trump, the rest of New York is left to deal with real problems: unaffordable housing, childcare costs, crime and disorder, and empty promises from Adams's failed administration. While Trump's DOJ has the power to drop these charges, New Yorkers — not the president — have the power to pick a new mayor and give the greatest city in the world a fresh start. With my experience reforming New York City, I believe I can be the leader that represents New Yorkers' vision, competence, and hopes for the city.
