THEN:
Once Trump was sworn in, he gave Elon an unprecedented amount of power over government spending and they are already threatening to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
NOW:
Recent polling shows that 55% of Americans believe that Elon has too much power in making decisions affecting the United States. Only 34% of Americans say they approve of how Musk is handling the job.
Elon's purge of the federal government and its employees — stretching from the Postal Service to the National Parks Service — could have far-reaching impacts.
