Donald Trump has handed Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) unchecked power to gut federal agencies — they've devastated USAID, the Department of Education, and now they've set their sights on the National Park Service.
Already, over 1,000 park rangers have been fired and 2,000 seasonal hires have lost their jobs, just as our National Parks prepare for their busiest seasons in the spring and summer.
The result? Closed trails. Overflowing trash. Dangerous conditions for visitors. This is a direct attack on America's most beautiful public lands — all so billionaires and oil executives can seize control.
This isn't just about our National Parks. It's about democracy, public service, and whether we allow Trump and his billionaire allies to destroy the institutions that belong to the people.
