As we commemorate Memorial Day, we honor the brave members of our military who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting our country, along with the families and loved ones they left behind.
I served two tours in Afghanistan as a Marine Corps Officer. While leading Marines and Sailors, I learned that the success of a mission is best accomplished by prioritizing the welfare of fellow troops, and protecting the people one serves side-by-side with while fighting.
This Memorial Day, may we never forget the sacrifices our service people made so we may live freely.
