| This is one of just three Republican-held districts that Kamala Harris won last year, and now it's officially being called one of the most competitive races in the entire country.
We've always known NY-17 would be a battleground, but this announcement raises the stakes even higher.
Mike Lawler is vulnerable, and national Republicans, including Donald Trump—who recently endorsed Lawler for re-election to this seat—know it. Last cycle, Elon Musk poured $1.7 million into our district, so we can expect they'll pour millions into this race to protect Lawler and their fragile House majority.
But we've seen the momentum on the ground. NY-17 is ready to elect a leader who will fight for the Hudson Valley. But we can't do it alone.
