 Jason, you've heard from my team and my wife Elyse about the importance of tonight's fundraising deadline. Now I want you to hear it from me. Tonight at midnight, my campaign has to submit our fundraising numbers to the New York City Campaign Finance Board. This is a major moment for our campaign, and all of our opponents will be able to judge the strength of our grassroots team. That's why I'm personally asking: will you rush $10, $25, or whatever you can to my campaign before midnight tonight? When I decided to run for NYC mayor, I knew it would be a competitive and crowded race. A lot of candidates believe they have the experience to make our city better — including a corrupt mayor under indictment for accepting bribes, and a former governor who cut Medicaid and public education for New Yorkers. You've often heard me say that I have the experience to make our city better, but my record is different from theirs. Instead of participating in corruption, I exposed it. And instead of taking money away from New York City, I saved taxpayers billions of dollars to spend on city services as New York City's former comptroller. I'm no stranger to dealing with bad actors, Jason. And unlike some of my opponents, I'm not in this race for more political power or vanity or to boost my career. My campaign isn't built on empty promises, and I'm ready to get to work on day one. Tonight's filing deadline is our LAST periodic disclosure period before Primary Election Day next month, so we can't afford to fall short of our goal.
