Do you see the cool guy in the photo above, Jason? That's me! Long before I had the idea to run for NYC comptroller, never mind mayor, I was just a kid who was passionate about helping people. I got my start as a young organizer in Washington Heights. I stood with tenants of Mitchell-Lama apartments and helped them protect their homes from being sold to private developers. I'll never forget the single mom who told me she was terrified of losing her home after her landlord raised rent overnight. It's stories like hers that propelled me to pursue a career in public service. From early on, I saw how bold policies could help middle-class families thrive, and I haven't stopped since. If you told young Scott that someday he'd be running for NYC mayor, he wouldn't believe you. But I've always known in my heart that I've wanted to give back to New York City, and now I have the opportunity of a lifetime to do so. In just over one month, New Yorkers will be heading out to the ballot box to cast their ballots in our primary election. We're running out of time to connect with voters about who I am and what my vision for our future is. With such little time left, will you please chip in $25 today to help us broadcast our message with voters as much as possible? We're coming down to the wire, and every dollar counts. Young Scott would be so proud of how far we've come! — Scott | | | | |
