Nikema Williams for Congress

Jason,

Whether it's casting votes on the House floor or meeting with constituents here in the Fighting Fifth, Congresswoman Nikema is working every day to deliver for us.

From pushing forward legislation to protect vulnerable communities and expand opportunities to standing up for the resources and services we rely on, here's how Congresswoman Nikema is making an impact — both in Washington and right here at home:

Congresswoman Nikema joined fellow members of Congress to reintroduce legislation that would deliver sweeping reforms to how Medicare penalties are applied to seniors.

Right now, more than 700,000 Medicare beneficiaries are facing lifetime increases in their premiums simply because they enrolled late. At a time when Republicans are laser-focused on gutting the essential programs Americans rely on to survive, Congresswoman Nikema is fighting back — standing up for our seniors.

Congresswoman Nikema introduced bipartisan legislation to establish a grant program through the Small Business Administration to support entrepreneurs at minority-serving institutions like HBCUs.

This grant program will expand entrepreneurship opportunities to everyone, regardless of their ZIP code or bank account.

Congresswoman Nikema sent a letter to the General Services Administration raising concerns about the potential sale of the Peachtree Summit Federal building — a vital hub for employment, transportation, and government services in GA-05.

The Peachtree Summit Federal building is home to key agencies like the IRS, Social Security Administration, and the USCIS — selling it odd would be a disservice to people in Georgia's Fighting Fifth.

Thank you,

Team Nikema
