| Jason, I've got good news — and a quick request. Recently, Governor Whitmer signed my bill that even further strengthens my 2023 law requiring every statewide officer, legislator, and candidate to disclose: π Gifts, travel, and charitable payments they receive π Stocks, bonds, and other securities worth $1,000 or more π° Outside and unearned income sources that could pose hidden conflicts And earlier this year, the Senate passed my legislation to open up our office emails, memos and other behind-the-scenes documents to public viewing. These victories feel good here in Michigan, but Congress still plays by rules so full of loopholes you could drive an armored lobbyist limo through them. That's why I'm leading the charge for a more accountable and transparent government. Will you add your name to my petition demanding greater government transparency and accountability? |
| When politicians know you can see their gift bags and stock portfolios, they think twice before cutting sweetheart deals. I'm running for Congress to ensure our government answers to you, not the lobbyists. Thanks for standing with me, Jeremy |
