I voted against the GOP Tax Scam

Republicans might be okay with letting working families, farmers, and kids get less so that billionaires and big corporations can have even more, but I sure as hell am not.

 

Jason, Today, the House voted on the GOP Tax Scam – and I voted hell no. Here's why: This bill includes the largest cuts to Medicaid in history, which will kick 1.5 million New Yorkers off their healthcare. It cuts critical funding for rural hospitals that are already on the brink of closing. It makes massive cuts to SNAP, which will take food off the tables of families in Upstate New York. Jason, Republicans might be okay with letting working families, farmers, and kids get less so that billionaires and big corporations can have even more, but I sure as hell am not. I voted no on this bill, and I'll continue doing everything I can to make life easier and more affordable for Upstate New Yorkers.
