Quick update from the campaign

This is the only statewide ballot measure in the country this year to reduce gun violence. What happens here in Maine will echo far beyond our borders.

Here's the good news: we're gaining ground—and fast. Since the Safe Schools, Safe Communities measure officially made the November ballot, we've seen an incredible response from volunteers, local leaders, and everyday Mainers who want to make our communities safer. But we've also seen something else: the NRA is ramping up. They've threatened to sue, and they are already trying to mislead voters about what Extreme Risk Protection Orders do. Let me be clear: this is Maine's decision. Not the gun lobby's. We have the facts. We have the support. But we can't compete with national money unless our grassroots team steps up.
