We all see the headlines: Washington is in chaos. Budgets are stalled. Extremists are playing politics with funding that communities like ours rely on.
That dysfunction may seem far away, but its impact is felt here in Reno.
We're entering tough economic times, and Reno deserves bold leadership to lead us through them. As your mayor, I'll bring my proven record of fiscal discipline to keep our budgets balanced and our taxes low.
I've done it before. As Nevada's State Treasurer, I fought to clean up wasteful spending and, during the 2008 financial crisis, recovered tens of millions of dollars for hardworking Nevadans.
This is the type of leadership we need right now.
Cities across the country are preparing for shrinking budgets and fewer federal resources. But Reno can't pause on housing, infrastructure, public safety, or support for working families. We need a mayor who can manage responsibly, protect critical services, and still invest in our future.
