We have fact to share with you, Jason, and frankly, it's downright depressing:
Florida ranks 47th in the nation in healthcare access and affordability.
Let us lay out what this means:
Millions of Floridians don't have health insurance. Many have to make difficult choices to go without care because they simply cannot afford the services they need.
That's unacceptable, Jason.
Right now, Florida has one of the strictest eligibility requirements for Medicaid in the country. And things are about to get even worse:
Thanks to the "Big Beautiful Bill," MILLIONS more will lose their healthcare. Rates and premiums will rise. Rural hospitals and providers will close. Floridians will suffer.
If we don't act now, our state could fall even further in these rankings.
That's why we're hitting the pavement every single day to expand Medicaid so that more Floridians can be covered, and more Floridians can afford the healthcare they need.
But we have a tough – and expensive – fight ahead. Anti-democracy politicians are on a crusade to make it more and more difficult for us to get on the ballot, and even increased the cost for us to verify signatures by 400%.
We set a $15,000 end-of-month goal to make sure we have the resources we need to keep up our fight, and we're counting on you to come through for every Floridian who deserves better than 47th place.
So please, will you donate $47 today to help us hit our goal, get on the ballot, and expand Medicaid to millions of Floridians? Even if it's not $47, every single dollar makes a difference.
More to come,
Florida Decides Healthcare
