Every family deserves access to affordable, quality healthcare. Millions of Americans will lose the coverage they rely on when enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits expire on January 1, 2026.
Health insurance companies are already requesting average premium increases of 20% for 2026, and some insurers are looking for increases of 50% or more. Without the subsidies, healthier people might stop seeking healthcare coverage, meaning only sicker people will be left in the pool of patients and driving up costs.
Congress promised to lower healthcare costs, but instead, Republicans pushed through more tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy while letting ACA subsidies expire. If they fail to extend these credits, premiums will skyrocket for nearly 20 million more Americans.
Americans cannot afford higher healthcare costs while wages lag behind the cost of living. Sign on now to demand Congress act immediately when they return from the August recess. Let's make sure every family can afford the care they need.
