We won't mince words. CBS's decision to cancel Stephen Colbert's show looks blatantly political.
Colbert was fired just THREE DAYS after he called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery. And now Trump is threatening to get other late night hosts, like Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, fired too.
As Jon Stewart said – the cancelling of Colbert by CBS represents "the fear and pre-compliance that is gripping all of America's institutions at this very moment, institutions that have chosen not to fight the vengeful and vindictive actions of" the Trump White House. "This is not the moment to give in."
