Jason,

Today marks the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which prohibited states from denying the right to vote on the basis of sex. It was a landmark step forward for our country — but more than a century later, we're still fighting some of the very same battles.

Even in 2024, women on average earned only 85 cents for every dollar earned by men. For Black women, that number is even worse — just 66 cents for every dollar a white man makes.

And while we should be moving forward, we continue to see widespread attacks on women's rights. Anti-abortion extremists continue to go after reproductive freedom and our right to make choices about our own bodies. And this year, House Republicans passed the so-called SAVE Act — a bill that could block millions of women from voting.

After more than a century, women are still fighting to be treated as equals — in the workplace, in our healthcare decisions, and at the ballot box.

This Women's Equality Day, join me in the fight to protect women's rights and work towards true gender equality by signing on now.
