A decade ago when the Supreme Court finally recognized marriage equality as the law of the land, it affirmed the dignity of countless LGBTQ+ families across America.
Now that very ruling is under threat.
If the Court overturns marriage equality, loving couples could lose protections overnight. Families would be torn apart. Lives uprooted.
This isn't hypothetical. It's real — and it's personal to me, my husband Vann, and so many Granite Staters.
Elections have consequences. The Senators we elect have a say in who sits on the Court, and those justices will shape our freedoms for generations to come.
Trump has stacked the Court with hardline conservatives — and right now extremists are determined to erase hard-won rights for LGBTQ+ families.
I can't promise this fight will be easy or that the road ahead won't be hard.
But I can promise you this: I will never stop working to protect the rights and freedoms of every Granite Stater.
