Jason,

Another deadly mass shooting has left families devastated and children traumatized.

This isn't normal. And it's not inevitable.

But the truth is: Republicans in Congress are choosing to prioritize the gun lobby over our children's lives. Their inaction is costing lives every single day.

Our children should be able to go to school without fearing for their lives. Families should be able to worship without fear. Our communities should be able to gather without the threat of violence hanging over them.

These senseless, preventable acts of violence cannot continue. Nowhere in our country — especially not churches and classrooms — should anyone have to fear for their lives.

The solutions exist. What's missing is the political will from Republicans who refuse to act.

I refuse to accept a future where children and parents live in fear of gun violence, Jason. And I will never stop fighting to keep our communities safe.
