Happy Labor Day!
Today, we celebrate the American Labor Movement, the hard work and dedication of workers here in New Jersey and across the country, and the unions that support them.
While at USDA-NIFA, I served as the Union Steward for the American Federation of Government Employees and led efforts to ensure my coworkers could exercise their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act.
But right now, unions like mine are under attack. Unions truly make America great, but Donald Trump has made baseless claims that they threaten national security. Now, several agencies are canceling their collective bargaining agreements and putting workers at risk. |
