| Jason, In honor of Labor Day, I share this photo in honor of every person who worked in the mills, including my great-grandparents, who worked at Sawyer Mills, and my grandmother, Josie, who worked in a shoe factory in Dover. In fact, Sawyer Mills was the site of the first-ever labor strike in America, and it was led by women like my grandmother and great-grandmother. | | | They lived through times of deep uncertainty — when wages were low, hours were long, and worker protections were nonexistent. Before basic labor rights were won, they worked without the safeguards we now rely on. Because people organized, spoke up, and demanded better conditions, they secured protections, fair wages, and safer workplaces. That's the power of people coming together — it's why I believe good governance matters and government has a critical role to play. I'm running for Congress to fight for working families, the dignity of work, fair pay, and affordable healthcare. I'm running to make sure every family in New Hampshire and across the country can build a future with security and opportunity. If you believe in that fight, will you chip in today to help power this grassroots campaign? | | | | Thank you for being part of this movement. Together, we can build a more just and equitable future. – Stefany | |
