| First: I called out Mike Lawler for being wildly out of step with NY-17 on reproductive healthcare after yet another appearance to fundraise for a sham, anti-abortion "crisis pregnancy center." Then: Mike Lawler attacked me on social media, spouting MAGA talking points and defending the center, which is currently being sued for engaging in fraud and deceptive business practices. Let's get a few things straight: I've carried two pregnancies to term, exactly two more than Mike Lawler has, so I think I know a thing or two about reproductive care. And, if Lawler cares as much about women and babies as he claims to, then maybe he shouldn't have voted to gut Medicaid, which covers 40% of births, and defund Planned Parenthood, which provides primary and preventive care to women of reproductive age. The women and families of our district deserve better, and we need someone who will fight for quality, affordable health care—especially when, under Republican leadership, people are about to have their insurance premiums triple or lose coverage altogether. I'll always fight for access to affordable and accessible health care—including abortion care, contraception, and IVF— but I need your help. Will you contribute to our campaign today so we have what it takes to flip this seat next year? |
