Thanks, and my healthcare story

Jason,

Because of you, we hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal and I can't thank you enough. Thanks to you, we are starting the next stretch of this campaign on strong footing. With Schweikert dropping out of the race in the face of our movement, we have never had more momentum on our side.

But that doesn't mean our team is taking a break for a moment. In fact, I want to talk to you about something else we've been working on:

Newsweek: Swing-State Democrat Candidate Says Health Care Plan Is Personal

I recently spoke with Newsweek about my experience with the American healthcare system and how it shaped my decision to run for Congress.

A year and a half ago, my life changed. I woke up one morning unable to feel the side of my face. Hours later, an MRI revealed I had a brain tumor.

What followed was months of fighting with my insurance company who, despite me paying my premiums on time every month for years, fought against the life-saving surgery I needed.

I survived, but the moment I needed help most, health insurance wasn't there for me. The healthcare system works for hedge funds and billionaires, not for the everyday people who pay them.

That's why I'm running for office: Republicans are ripping away our healthcare to line the pockets of their patrons.

With this seat now open, we have a real chance to flip AZ-01 and deliver the change Arizona families deserve. Your support at EOQ got us here, but we can't let up. Every day between now and election day matters.

So Jason, will you chip in today in order to keep up the momentum and show everyone we have what it takes to win this race?
