| Jason, The scenes out of Washington show out-of-touch politicians like Mike Lawler playing political games, and the result? A government shutdown that's impacting us all. Federal employees and civil servants have been through enough under this administration, and now they're furloughed. Military families are going to miss paychecks. Small businesses are going to lose revenue. And for what? To deny Americans health care. Right now, a 60-year old couple in the Hudson Valley making $85,000 a year pays about $7,000 for their annual premium under the Affordable Care Act. But Mike Lawler and Trump's allies in Congress are pushing a budget that would gut those tax credits. Without them, that same couple would see their premiums skyrocket to nearly $30,000 a year. For most Americans, that spells financial ruin. And it's Hudson Valley families who are going to get crushed. NY-17 deserves better, and that's why I'm running for Congress—to lower costs, expand access to health care, and end the dysfunction in Washington once and for all. So, if you're also tired of this dysfunction, I hope you'll contribute to my campaign today to beat Mike Lawler and put Congress back to work for the people. |
