Congress must act to ban predatory AI pricing

Delta told Congress it doesn't use "personalized pricing." But reporting shows Delta and other major airlines are already working with AI consultants who brag about using people's private information to jack up ticket prices. It's not just airlines. Uber's surge pricing already sets different costs for different riders. Kroger has floated the possibility of using electronic price tags that would adjust based on what each shopper might pay. If regulators don't step in, this "surveillance pricing" will spread across the economy. That means every purchase — flights, groceries, even essentials — could soon be priced based on how much companies think they can take from you. We need Congress to act now. Will you sign on and join us as we call on our representatives to ban predatory AI pricing? Thanks for signing on. If we all raise our voices, we can stop this new method of corporate exploitation before it becomes commonplace. — Democratic Values | | Paid for by Democratic Values PAC Democratic Values PAC PO Box 15320 Washington, DC 20003 United States If you wish to donate by check, please make a check payable to "Democratic Values PAC" and mail it to PO BOX 15320 WASHINGTON, DC 20003 If you would like to receive only our most important emails, click here.
