Yesterday, California put the power back into the hands of the people by passing Proposition 50!
This win means that THE PEOPLE approved temporary emergency congressional district maps, giving us a chance to fight back against Republican attempts at voter suppression nationwide.
What this means for us: our district is now more representative of Hispanic and Latino voters, allowing us to combat voter disenfranchisement and to send a leader to Congress who will stand up against the inhumane actions of this administration.
We have a real shot at winning this district and delivering the kind of representation that our district deserves. But make no mistake — our opponents see that too. All eyes will be on our district to see if our grassroots campaign has what it takes to win.
