| Jason, I wanted to share a little about what this time of year means to me and to the Ho-Chunk people here in Wisconsin. November is a busy month. It's a time for family, for reflection, and for gratitude. Many Ho-Chunk families celebrate Thanksgiving, but we do it in our own way. The Friday after Thanksgiving is known in our Nation as Ho-Chunk Day. It started years ago as a simple day off when folks were already home for hunting season and spending time with family. But over time, it became something more: a day to celebrate who we are, honor our heritage, and spend time together as a community. Across Wisconsin, from Black River to Wisconsin Dells to the communities in the north, Ho-Chunk families mark this day with food, games, art, and cultural traditions that remind us where we come from and who we stand with. As we head into this holiday season, I'm grateful for my family, my community, and for everyone supporting this campaign. You're part of the circle we're building — neighbors looking out for each other and fighting for a better future. Wishing you and your family a warm and meaningful holiday season. Rodney Rave |
