My Republican extremist opponent just launched a string of homophobic, transphobic, and personal attacks against me.
He called me a "radical-left, gay, transgender, truther."
He thinks attacking who I am will scare me into silence. He thinks bigotry still wins elections, and we saw last night, it's quite the opposite. He thinks Michigan voters will fall for this cheap, hateful garbage.
Among the ridiculous lies, however, he did say something truthful. He said, "If we put people like Jeremy Moss in Washington, DC and don't back President Trump's initiatives, then we may lose this war."
You know what this tells me? Republicans are scared.
They see our campaign gaining momentum. They see the grassroots energy building. And they know that when we fight back with the truth – about protecting democracy, expanding equality, and basic decency, we WIN.
So instead of talking about the issues that matter, they're attacking me for who I am and for standing with Michigan's LGBTQ+ community. But, I've never hidden from that – I'm proud of who I am, and I'll never stop fighting for a Michigan that welcomes everyone.
They can sling every slur they want. I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to keep fighting for an Oakland County that works for everyone.
I've never backed down from standing up for what's right, and I'm not starting now. Will you chip in today to help us keep fighting against Republican attacks? |
