| Jason, Today, Mainers have the power to save lives. By voting Yes on 2, we can finally give families and law enforcement a tool to prevent tragedy before it happens. Here's how it works: Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) allow families or police to ask a judge to temporarily remove firearms from someone who is showing signs of being a danger to themselves or others. If the court finds there's a real risk, access to guns is paused — giving time for intervention, treatment, and recovery. It's not about taking away rights. It's about giving families a way to act when every second counts. This law could make all the difference for families across Maine — for parents who see their child in crisis, for neighbors worried about someone's safety, for communities still healing from loss. If passed, Question 2 will save lives, protect our schools and neighborhoods, and give families peace of mind knowing they can step in when something feels wrong. Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can make Maine a safer place — starting today. Maine Gun Safety Coalition P.S. Even though today is Election Day, there's more work to do. Will you help fund our final efforts by chipping in $25 today? |
