How Yes on 2 will save lives in Maine

Jason, Today, Mainers have the power to save lives. By voting Yes on 2, we can finally give families and law enforcement a tool to prevent tragedy before it happens. Here's how it works: Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) allow families or police to ask a judge to temporarily remove firearms from someone who is showing signs of being a danger to themselves or others. If the court finds there's a real risk, access to guns is paused — giving time for intervention, treatment, and recovery. It's not about taking away rights. It's about giving families a way to act when every second counts.
