| Jason, The Michigan Senate passed a $71 million SNAP bill to keep food assistance going during this shutdown. The House could have passed it immediately. Instead, Republican leadership decided to wait – deliberately delaying relief. Thousands of Michiganders could lose access to food assistance in November for no reason other than partisan spite. It's indefensible and cruel. Our government can and should do better. When people are struggling to feed their families, our job is to step up and find solutions. I'm calling on House Republicans to stop blocking SNAP funding and start doing their damn jobs. Will you join me by signing on to my petition? |
