The Big, Bullshit Bill wasn’t enough

Now, right-wing extremists are playing games with food assistance.

Jason, Our democracy is crumbling faster than the walls of the East Wing — and working Alaskans are the ones left picking up the pieces. Let's cut through the noise. The Big, Bullshit Bill was already a raw deal for Alaskans, cutting food assistance, affordable healthcare, and public radio funding that keep communities connected. Now, right-wing extremists are making it worse. Because of Sullivan and Begich's disregard for Alaskans and their vote for the Big, Bullshit Bill, our families have been facing uncertainty when it comes to putting food on the table.  And the kicker? Extremist Republicans canceled the USDA's Household Food Security Report — the one tool that tracked hunger in Alaska and across the country. Now they can claim no one's going hungry, because they deleted the proof. That's not leadership. That's cowardice. HELP US FIGHT BACK We know the truth: families are hurting. Elders are skipping meals to stretch benefits. Parents are putting their kids first and going without. Rural communities are being ignored. And if nothing changes, tens of thousands of Alaskans will be forced to figure out how to put their next meal on the table. This isn't the Alaska way — and we're not going to accept it. We're fighting back against Sullivan, Begich, and D.C.'s reckless policies. But we can't do it alone. Every dollar you give helps us hold them accountable and protect the Alaskans who need us most.
