An Emerge alum is now the first woman ever elected Governor of Virginia.
Abigail is a mom and former CIA officer who watched her congressman vote to take away healthcare from Virginia families and decided to do something about it. Her mother encouraged her to join Emerge's historic 2017 class, and with Emerge's training and community behind her, she flipped a Republican seat, defended it twice, and never stopped fighting for working families.
Now, as Governor—eight years after her Emerge training—she'll keep doing what our alums do best: delivering results.
