He opposed the first round of $1,200 stimulus checks earlier this year! But Perdue and Mitch McConnell are desperate to stay in power. So what do they do? They try to buy back Georgians’ votes with a $600 “stimulus” check. $600 is a joke. After eight months of obstruction, Perdue and McConnell insisted on cutting direct relief checks for Georgia families in half as we enter the holiday season. Families’ credit cards maxed out. People can’t afford prescriptions and rent and car payments. $600 won’t cover that. It’s certainly not enough to get back in the good graces of Georgians Perdue has neglected for far too long. The American people should be getting $2,000 checks, with more on the way. Joe Biden is ready to sign a substantial COVID-19 relief package on Day One if we have a Democratic Senate.
