We're heading into the most important stretch of this race

For most of this year, this campaign has been about building: organizing our volunteers, introducing myself to voters, and laying the groundwork. 

But starting tomorrow, everything changes. September is when a lot of folks start paying attention. It's when the ads go up in earnest, on both sides, and don't come back down until Election Day. 

MAGA has already made it clear that I'm a top target for them. That means our fundraising deadline tonight isn't just about closing out August. It's about whether we walk into the most critical stretch of this campaign with the resources to compete, or whether we're playing catch-up.

The August Cornfields

The days are still warm, the fields are full, and everywhere you look, cornfields are standing tall.

But you can feel the season beginning to turn. The mornings are a little cooler. The days are getting shorter, and before long, summer will be behind us. When I look at those cornfields, I don’t think about an ending. I think about what comes next, because the work we’ve been doing all summer is starting to show. Every door knocked, every conversation, every volunteer shift, every person who decided to believe that we can win this race. Those are the seeds we’ve been planting. Now, as August comes to a close, we need to keep tending to them. Our $20,000 August goal is still within reach, but tonight is the deadline. That means we have one more chance to make sure we have the resources to reach undecided voters, support our volunteers, and take our message to every corner of this district.
